Forum: classic_tv Subject: I'd really like to see the 1948-1949 series "Champagne and Orchids"

This series aired on the DuMont Television Network. Of the series, Wikipedia has this to say:
''Champagne and Orchids was a variety show hosted by Adrienne Meyerberg, billed simply as 'Adrienne', who sang in English, French, and Spanish''

But you know what? The novelty value of a late-1940s variety show (It ended in January 1949!) would make it worth seeing to me. I've seen some 1940s TV (both on the internet archive, general DVD, and Shokus DVD) and quite enjoyed the primitive yet charming shows.

The book The Forgotten Network says:
''Though the network later became a repository for defiantly low-brow and low-budget entertainment, early programs like Champagne and Orchids (1948-(1949) and Fashions on Parade (1948-1949) featured high-society, well-dressed models, singers and actresses sharing their fabulous lives with television viewers''

Two episodes of "Champagne and Orchids" survive at the UCLA film and Television Archive. I'd love to see them both.

Two episodes of "Fashions on Parade" (both 1949) exist at the MacDonald and Associates film archive in Chicago.
